About Me, Mission & Values!

Who is the Founder ?

My name is Nour Atamna, founder of La Boutique Activiste.

I’ve been an activist from a young age, and I’ve always been passionate about social impact, sustainability, and creativity. La Boutique Activiste is my first entrepreneurial project.

I heard that you also write novels and poetry ...

Yes, I’m also a writer. I finished my first novel, The Day My Teacher Slapped Me, an activist story about a North African girl who decides to rebel against her racist teacher. If you’re also tired of the Karens we keep seeing all over social media, you’ll probably enjoy this book. It’s available now, and I can’t wait to share my journey as a writer with you!

I also wrote a poetry collection called You Got Down on One Knee to Propose, Then Ran Away..., a deeply personal and emotional collection. I mean, I had to get revenge on my 5-foot-tall ex somehow... Writing is a form of activism for me. It gives me a way to put into words the things we don’t always dare to say out loud.

And I didn’t stop there.

I wrote How to Annoy Dictators, an activist poetry collection that uses humor, satire, and poetry to talk about politics, inequality, women’s rights, freedom, and all the things we’re sometimes told not to talk about.

Then came Dictator, You Seriously Need to Go on a Diet, a murder mystery set partly in North Korea, featuring an eccentric detective, international intrigue, and, because apparently I have no self-control as a writer, a parrot named Bonaparte.

And finally, 180 Days to Become the Most Popular Girl in School, a YA novel about popularity, bullying, revenge, identity, and what happens when one girl enters an elite private school with a plan that is definitely more complicated than simply making friends.

Writing and entrepreneurship have always been two ways for me to try to change the world in my own way.

La Boutique Activiste was born out of rebellion.

In my school’s entrepreneurship club, I was the only one talking about social impact while everyone else was talking about profits. The only one talking about giving back while everyone else was focused on accumulating more. The only one who believed entrepreneurship could be a tool for social justice, not just personal enrichment.

So I decided to create my own model.

A business built on the idea that profitability and social responsibility do not have to be opposites. That a company can be profitable without putting profit above everything else, ambitious without being greedy, and successful while still giving back.

La Boutique Activiste helps fund Les Chevaliers en Carton, a participatory NGO where YOU vote to help choose an impact organization to support each month.

Every product sold supports the Activists in Heels Movement, and 5% of net profits are redistributed through this participatory model.

The Activists in Heels Movement is built on one simple idea: activism starts with our everyday choices. You don’t have to be marching in the streets to care about changing the world. Every purchase, every habit, and every decision can reflect the kind of world you want to help create. Join the movement and turn everyday life into an act of gentle resistance.

Because entrepreneurship shouldn’t just be a race for profit. It can be a quiet revolution.

Thank you for being here.

When you shop at La Boutique Activiste, you’re not only supporting a young Quebec entrepreneur from a visible minority. You’re also supporting a vision for a fairer, greener future.

Our Mission

At La Boutique Activiste, we believe that shopping can be a form of action.

Every product you choose here is more than just an object. It can be a reflection of your values, an everyday choice, and one small step toward the world you want to live in.

Our mission:

To make activism accessible to everyone through everyday actions, choices, and habits.

We want every purchase, every click, and every action to become an opportunity for positive, conscious, everyday activism.

Because change doesn’t only happen in the streets.

It also starts with our habits, our values, and the choices we make every day.

Our Movements

The Activists in Heels Movement

Activism doesn’t only start in the streets. It can start in your shopping cart.

We’re building a community around the belief that our everyday choices can reflect the world we want to see. You don’t have to attend a protest to make more conscious choices. Eating plant-based, reducing waste, supporting ethical businesses, buying local, consuming less, and choosing reusable alternatives can all become part of the way you live your values.

This isn’t about living a perfect lifestyle. It’s about living a more conscious one.

Choosing a bamboo toothbrush, refusing another disposable plastic bag, or supporting a local business might seem small. But everyday habits are exactly that: things we repeat.

We’re not looking for perfection. We’re looking for consistency.

Together, we can turn ethical living into a quiet but lasting revolution.

Join the movement. Take action with us.

Les Chevaliers en Carton

Because a more sustainable world should also be a fairer one.

Les Chevaliers en Carton is built around a participatory model: every month, 5% of La Boutique Activiste’s net profits are redistributed to one impact organization, selected through community voting according to the month’s theme, such as the environment, human rights, equality, or health.

The idea is simple: give people a voice in where the money goes and turn giving into something participatory, transparent, and collective.

Giving differently is already one way to change the world.

Thank you for being part of the movement.
