How to Annoy Dictators

This 128-page poetry collection was written over two years. One day at a time, without stopping.

It’s part of something bigger: Activists in Heels, a movement built on the belief that fiction can call things out, raise awareness, and change minds just as powerfully as a speech or a protest.

Publishing is scary. But keeping these stories to myself would be even worse.

So here it is.

Step one: write a poem.
Step two: say the quiet part out loud.
Step three: congratulations, someone powerful is now annoyed.

How to Annoy Dictators is a bold, sarcastic, and unapologetically activist poetry collection about a world that has completely lost the plot.

• Dictators with fragile egos
• Billionaires with enough money to buy everything except self-awareness
• Racism. War. Sexism. Climate change.
• Mental health and social media addiction
• Consumerism. Human rights.
• And ordinary people just trying to survive all of it without completely losing their minds.

Some poems will make you angry. Some will make you think. Some will make you laugh at something you probably shouldn’t be laughing at.

And some might make a dictator very, very uncomfortable.

Perfect.

Because poetry doesn’t always have to whisper about flowers and heartbreak. Sometimes, it can piss off powerful people.

Consider this book a tiny act of rebellion.
